Reservations: 206-463-1800
PA gear provided, bring your own instrument (an upright piano is on site and tuned)
No full bands please, we cannot accommodate (solo, duos or maybe trios depending how simple the set up)

The Open Mic at The Hardware Store here on Vashon Island is somewhat new. Many of you already know about it, and some of you have actually performed at this monthly event. Some of these performances have been fantastic. We’ve seen songwriters ranging from Andre Sapp to Mark Wells deliver some very cool original content. We’ve heard instrumentals ranging from “Red” (the off-island piano man) to Phil Royal on finger-style folk acoustic guitar. We’ve felt the music of John Brown -- a Vashon classic. There have been eclectic and exceptional covers by Glenn Rukwid and company. We’ve even seen the local school kids out to perform their original songs and some creative takes on well-known cover tunes. So this Open Mic is diverse, inclusive, and full of all kinds of talent. I would say it’s definitely a good time and worth checking out.
